SteamDeck display out not working on Razer Thunderbolt 4 dock
Hi there! I'm sure logs are necessary (happy to post), however I have this configuration:

Thunderbolt 4 cable <=> Razer Thunderbolt 4 Dock => (USBC to DP Out to an ASUS 4k/144 display), USB Keyboard, USB Mouse, USB Audio Out, USB Mic, USB HDMI input adaptor (for camera).

I simply swap the TBT4 cable between my mac and windows machines, when I want to use them at my desk, and was hoping that the SteamDeck would as well.

The steam deck in game mode, just goes black screen - but audio works (as well as controls from keyboard), and my monitor says "No input detected".

Note, in desktop mode, everything works, except display out on the attached display. Keyboard is recognized, Mouse works, camera works, microphone works, and audio out works. (Pretty cool!)

Display control panel detects the display, as a 4k, product time, etc, but just nothing coming out on the screen. I've tried various resolutions, refresh rates, etc.

Happy to provide any info needed, and/or has anyone had any luck getting this to work on a similar config?

Thanks!

Note: I've tested other USBC -> HDMI docks my TV, and they seem to work well, it's only this (main desk) config I can't get working.

Forgot one part of the config: Ethernet works great too, plugged into the Razer TBT4 dock.

Note: I am on the beta release train, stable client, but tried stable both as well.

Hey, Came across your thread on my google searches. I believe the reason that you're having issues is that the SteamDeck does not support Thunderbolt, and as such is only operating in USB-C mode, meaning that you're limited on what it can do based on bandwidth.
