game not launching on steam deck

Were you able to fix this? I'm having the same issue with The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition.

Change the game properties so that it uses a stable version of Proton and not the experimental one.

You need to check ProtonDB - it’s most likely resolution issue. ProtonDB will have the needed settings you need to edit.

In the future check ProtonDB first - totally different games not launching on the Steam Deck does not mean they have the same issue.

After trying a bunch of stuff I was able to fix this issue by going into desktop mode and then validating game files for each game. When I attempted to validate through the app it did not help.
