Discord on steam deck doesn't stream audio.
Discord downloaded on the discover store doesn't seem to stream audio when showing your desktop or active window to others. Not sure if its a discord, linux, kde or steamos issue.

Yes, the correct audio recording device is selected. While configuring the screen sharing on discord there is also a message that audio streaming may not be available on this device. If you have a way to make it work or have it working already then let me know.

Discord audio streaming doesn't work on Linux. Discord needs to fix it, but they claim that the low userbase is not worth the effort.

Hare's a handy visualization of the responsibility for this issue:
Valve [__________] 0% Linux [__________] 0% KDE [__________] 0% Discord [##########] 100%

We need to organize and mass send nice distress emails about this problem to Discord. Here is what you can do (people showing up in this thread just like I did):
- Open Discord
- Press 'Help' (Top right in Discord's application)
- - This should open a web browser (don't be intimidated)
- Press 'Submit a Request'
- Toggle 'Help & Support'
- Toggle 'Voice and Video Troubleshooting'
- Be kind with your email as niceties begets niceties. My email looked something like this:

Hello, I'm writing this email in hopes of getting audio support for streaming games on the Steam Deck through Discord. After reading various help pages to troubleshoot this problem, it turns out that Discord hasn't worked out making streaming audio a function on the Steam Deck and by extension Linux. I hope there will be news soon in the future from Discord developers fixing and showing support to Steam Deck users.

Thank you.

- The next step is to be patient and hope they will see enough people want this to happen.

Thank you for your support.

the actual solution is stop using software that doesn't care about its users.
