Steam Deck Windows 10 Audio Issue
Steam Deck is running Windows 10.

Recently updated the APU driver (5/13/2022), and installed the two audio drivers. the right speaker does not work at start up, only the left speaker works.

However if I restart it in the system (not shut down then power on the device), both speakers work again.

If I shut down the Steam Deck then turn it on, only the left speaker works.

I have uninstalled the APU drivers then reinstalled it a few times, then installed the two audio drivers, but the issue persists.

I don't think the right speaker is damaged as it works after I restart the device.

Now I have to restart it every time for both speakers to work.

Hope Steam has update for Windows soon. Both speakers are really nice (for a handheld) when they work :)

Having the same issue as yours in Windows 11, also the headphone jack and microphone are not working properly. In device manager a driver named 'Nuvoton I2S NAU88L21 Device' is not working properly, tried reinstall the driver but no luck.

Beside those issue the deck cannot be in sleep mode for more than 2~3 hours, after that its act like being shutdown.

(06/17)EDIT: installed the latest cs35l41.inf (June 13, 2022) update seems fixed the single speaker issue, both speaker now working at first start up. But it's a kind of hit or miss fix, the speaker's maximum volume is 7-10db handicapped unless you do a restart.

Hello, i still have the same problem in Windows 11 when i turn on the Deck, speakers sounds very low and i have to restart it to get them sounding good, were you able to fix this issue?

Audio driver (last updated June 13, 2022) seems to fix that annoying right speaker issue. I also did a clean install of the APU driver (This driver is updated as of June 16, 2022).
I just updated these two drivers on 8/8/2022, both speakers' volume is set to 30/100 in settings,

Wait so a clean installation of the latest APU drivers fixed the low volume issue for you?

Yea, I think it fixed it with clean installation of the APU. Both speakers work at the same volume now.

Yes i know that with the latest APU and audio drivers the speakers sound at the same volume, but the issue is that the volume is too low compared to what it should be and to what it is in Steam OS, is yours also low? to check it out you have to try the speaker when you turn on the Deck and then restart Windows, after the restart the volume should be much louder and better, i don't know why we have to make a restart to make it work properly

Oh, that's the same behavior on my Steam Deck as well. I didn't realize this until I compared the volume before and after restart. I would say it's about 20% difference, that's why I thought it was the same volume. Was it much lower on your deck?

Yes in mine the difference seems bigger, it's a weird issue shouldn't be too difficult to fix but i couldn't figure out how so far

Helo everyone i have an issue with steam deck OLED where i installed all windows drivers and everything except the output audio files work. In the audio, i see no output audio devices. Device manager shows all three audio drivers are installed but i have no audio. I repeated this by re i stakking windows, drivers again etc.
