Steamdeck doesn’t appear to cache DNS requests at all

Just got my Steamdeck today, and looking at my DNS server I run locally, it’s made 20K requests so far. Looking at the requests they’re repeating very quickly. Almost as if Steamdeck isn’t caching DNS locally at all.

Arch linux doesn't have a default dns cache, so it appears that the Steam deck really doesn't cache dns requests. You could probably install a dns cache like ncsd.
