Volume control bug

I had a problem (it’s fine now) where I would press the button to turn down volume but it wouldn’t do that and instead it would display the volume bar go down 1 volume, then go back up again. I thought it may be that the increase volume button was stuck so that’s why it was acting strangely, however after pressing the increase volume button a few times it instead suddenly reduced its volume completely. I then pressed the reduce volume button a few times without anything changing and then it shot back up to full volume. I then tried alternating the button presses and the volume was just not working the way it should have.

The problem is fine now it just suddenly started working again but I figured I’d post this anyway. Not sure if it was some bug, or if my volume controls just decided to get stuck repeatedly, which seems unlikely because if this was the case then the volume should have changed without me having to press the buttons.

Edit: it is not fine now the problem still continues. I’ll try restarting the deck.

Re-imaging fixes it. Not the built in one though. You have to download the new image from steam, create a bootable USB or SD, and re-image from that. SD worked for me. USB didn’t fought with this issue for several months before finally doing that. Temp fix is to just shut down and not let it go to sleep.

I found the best thing to do is hold on the down volume button until it overrides the up volume bug, after it doesn’t move anymore without me intervening I just use the toggle built into the software on it( acces that through the three dots on the bottom right side of the deck). That’s how it has worked for me.

and on the previous stable updates i had a "sticky" volume button, it kept pressing while I'm not pressing.
