Unable to upload screenshots of non-steam applications
I installed a number of non-steam applications, such as Discord and Google Chrome. I then took screenshots with "Steam + R1". When I go to view them in media section, they show without an app name against them. Attempting to upload them always fails.

Workaround below:

You can grab the screenshots in desktop mode from
/home/deck/.steam/steam/userdata/<accountid>/760/remote/
Also worth nothing that flatpack apps like Discord and Chrome do not have access to the ".steam" directory, only pictures, thus cannot directly upload the screenshots taken by Steam. They do however have access to the standard "Pictures" folder, which Steam doesn't use for screenshots, but probably should for better UX.
You can use flatseal to give applications access to certain folders.

Still an issue! I wanted to upload a screenshot of a non-steam game but it fails all the time. I'm using the Beta channel with "snapshot 20220330.100". Steam version "1649344803".

Also it seems like there is no way to access the screenshots made in gaming mode from inside the desktop mode to copy them and upload them manually i.e to imgur.

Just want to note this is still an issue!
I'm aware I can grab them in Desktop Mode, but it's a huge hassle to go through all of that when for Steam games I can simply hit upload (while playing I might add) and then access them later on my PC.

Same. Works 100% on steam, but taking screen shots on the steam deck doesn't work. Also doesn't equate them with the shortcut's name, Where on desktop I name it "Pokemon Emerald" and it'll upload as pokemon emerald, which is awesome.

Half a year and still an issue!

Though I know this is still an issue, typical file sharing protocols like SSHFS are supports. I just setup SSHFS mounting for just 15 min and everything is good. See this video for a quick run down https://youtu.be/p2GBqz13Sok. In addition, I would also like to suggest everyone who uses SSHFS enables compression for faster accessing speed and change the default port from 22 to something else to enhance the security if you intend to turn on SSH service all the time. Happy decking!
