"An update since your last response.
The left track pad is "mushy". It's not very responsive in any way. This seems worse over the last week or two. The left trigger also seems not as responsive as the right one.
Please advise me on how to proceed."
I await Valve's response
And today I received an RMA Label.
(My Issue was that the left Trackpad is super loud and its clicks feel mushy)
I did the controller input test and the right haptic is louder and feels rougher. While pulling the trigger on the left side barely has haptic feedback at all.
I did notice the click for the left side pad while in the test screen show it's clicking between 1000 to 2000 pressure while the right pad clicks some where in the 3000s.
My left trigger and L3 does haptic feedback when pressed, it's no the case for the right counterpart.
You can assign haptic feedback to individual buttons and triggers/bumpers when pressed on the controller configuration:
1. Launch a game
2. Hit Steam button and press dpad right until you get to the controller settings and hit A
3. Select edit layout
4. Go to any button, in my case im going to navigate to Triggers -> L2 Soft Pull
5. Press the gear icon -> Settings
6. There you can see 'Haptics Intensity', so when that key is pressed, you will get haptic feedback
My issue is that, even after setting 'Haptics Intensity' to 'Strong' on any of the right side buttons and cranking up to 10 on the new calibration settings, i don't any get haptic feedback when the key is pressed. I do get it on any of the left keys.
It's hard to tell, i will describe it as "virtually non-existent". If I close my eyes and really focus on any vibration on my right hand, there's a very sutle vibration and you can barely hear it if you put your ear near it on a quiet environment. It's like a small raindrop falls on your hand. The left side is solid, feels great.
The trackpads look about the same in terms of being centered. In fact, it looks like both trackpads are slightly off center away from the screen (larger gaps on the side closest to the screen), but the right trackpad is perfectly fine.
