Wine is not working.

So I am attempting to install some windows games in Linux using Wine, however when I download the version of Wine that seems to work from Discover, neither the Konsole nor Lutris can find it. There is another version of Wine on Discover, but downloading and attempting to open that version causes Discover to hang every time. I am trying to install some times using installers downloaded from GoG.com, when I try and run them through Steam via Proton, nothing happens.

I tried to run Lutris, but that still requires Wine to work, so I can't install any games.

I was able to get Wine working with Lutris, just had to get the Wine Runner, but I'm still getting errors with the installer itself lol, thanks for the help!

did you try switching to developer mode and install wine through pacman instead of using a sandboxed flatpak?

I completely forgot developer mode was a thing, but I got wine working, thanks anyway!

maybe write down what solved your issues for the next person who stumbles upon this thread with similar problems...

All I did was install Wine Runner, this is the version of wine that works with Lutris on SteamOS, and Bottles installs its own version of Wine automatically.
