2. Automatic (static IP won't connect), ac/Wi-Fi 5, 80 MHz, WPA2
3. Other devices connected with no problems
Region: Ireland
Separate 5GHz SSID
Channel Bandwidth: 20/40/80MHz
Control Channel: Auto(100), Using DFS channels.
No other device on the network has dropping issue.
2 - Channel is set to automatic.
3 - My phone, switch and laptop maintain connection next to the AP.
Hope to not derail the thread (you can reply on my profile if you'd prefer), but would anyone be able to tell me the program that is used to input these sudo commands? I'm a complete novice to these linux command lines; cheers in advance!
Edit - Fatal Error X very kindly helped me out with this!
2. automatic / smart? - 2.4ghz channel 11/5ghz channel 36
3. Everything else runs perfect - Switch/TV/Phone etc.
Seems way worse in desktop mode? if I sit on network config on big picture I get no disconnects? guessing some sort of power saving/phone home/heartbeat thing?
2.automatic
3. everything work perfectly only deck having wifi droping
2. Automatic
3. Everyting else works like a charm
I have two different networks one for 2.4 and second for 5. The issue only happen when I'm connected to 5 one (constant disconnects) where 2.4 works perfectly fine.
wifi icon will have a yellow exclamation mark and if I let it sit; it'll eventually just close the window and I'll loose track pad input/only touch works.
Only way out of that (without external usb hub) I've found is to reboot the system with power switch. If I open the network tab (via wifi icon) during the "updating steam.." window it'll suddenly proceed through the update check and all will be fine.
Doesn't happen all the time but may give some more indicators? (I assume most of the above is due to whatever loop steam locks itself in to check for updates then failing due to this wireless issue)
I think the solution stopped working because of the update. Same happened with me, I reapplied the fix and its ok again. Probably should a command on the desktop to rerun it at every update until they fix it.
