Will Steam Deck OLED Need a new dock to output on TV\Monitor that support the refresh rate?
I just bought a Steam Deck OLED and was wondering will the original third party docks like the JSAUX be able to output 90FPS. Do I buy a dock now, or wait for updates?

All the existing USB C docks that work on the LCD model will work fine on the OLED model.

I would maybe check your specific dock's tech page, but jsaux is a decent brand so i would venture to say that 1920x1080@120 hz is probably supported. which is already better than the OLED's resolution and refresh-rate.

The original steam deck supports these Maximum-Docked Resolutions:
3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz
2560 x 1440 @120 Hz
1920 x 1080 @240Hz *this means 1920 @ 1080 with 120hz as an example should work fine*

Just keep in mind that unless were talking a 2d platformer, Actually reaching 240fps in a modern game is unlikely.
According to the specs, there is no change between the external display capabilities of SD models, with both the LCD and OLED SD supporting up to 8K @60Hz or 4K @120Hz. Valve's docking station is currently limited to 4k60 or 1440p120, but 3rd party docks can do higher. As Jcee mentions, though, hitting those limits at those resolutions isn't likely.

You are mistaking things. The new refresh rate only applies to the built-in screen, there is no limitation on external displays for all Decks. You can already output 1080p 144Hz and even higher with docks that support such refresh rates on older Deck as well as the newer Deck.

Hi! I just bought a Samsung S90D oled TV which is supposed to support 4k @144 hz/fps. Whenever I connect mi SD through my Valve dock the tv says: Res 4k 60fps.
Is there a way I can make the fps higher? Do I need to buy a new dock? Which one? Or can I make my SD to send 1080p instead of 4k so the fps can go higher? If so, how can I do it? Thanks in advance mate!
