emu deck games not loading

everytime i select play on my emu deck games it dosent launch. it was working before. please help

Which emulator?
Which rom/game?
Where did you have those installed?

And I didn’t ask what you used to install the emulators. I asked where you installed them to; both the emulators and your roms.

Emudeck doesn’t install roms; you have to do that.

i got roms from firefox and nothing occured after i was playing. i just put it to sleep like i always do and when i turn it back on every single rom just wouldnt launch

With all the hassles I see about a program that's suppose to streamline the whole thing, I sure see a lot of people having problems with it. Seems like a lot less work and hassle to just install the emulators from Discover.

I assume you've tried restarting your deck?

yes i tried restarting the deck, i updated my emulators on emudeck, and i did a soft reset. im scared i may not be able to play these games again

Were the roms on an SD card or on the Deck's storage?

Try rerunning the rom manager. First things I did when 3.5 hit was try launching a non-steam game from the SD card and launching an emulated, non-steam app (installed on the internal though). Both worked.

Emudeck has a utility called “rom manager” its what makes your games non-steam apps. Run it again and try launching the apps. It might make duplicates so if it does, launch both versions.

Then reinstall emudeck. There is also an option in there to change where it is installed or to reinstall it. Move your roms to the appropriate new folders once done.

Reinstalling emudeck isn’t going to fix it. Their microSD card likely isn’t being detected.
