Not happy, desktop mode is super wonky with remote play and the screen refresh with the new plasma KDE desktop is being problematic to use remotely via steam link. I am switching to beta channel in hopes these issues are resolved soon.
Everything worked great with the previous stable build. Moral to the story don't press update on stable build just yet.
I believe somebody reported some success with using a club3d displayport to hdmi adapter. Legal is blocking HDMI 2.1
Welcome to everyday legal bs. Manufacturer are known to sell you handcuffs for cheaper than goods without handcuffs. Why do you think FOSS guys are so hell bent on buying FOSS hardware.

Modern tech stinks.
I hate to break it to you. Deck dock is actually one of the cheaper docks. Support VRR and MST. Comes with a 45 watt usbc charger too.
Also, anyone else notice remote play connections via steam link seem extra slowww to connect?
Hmmm. For the Steam OEM dock, I believe people report HDMI to display adapter work in provider VRR. I wonder if the dock is doing the conversion and somehow bypassing hdmi to provide VRR over HDMI. I do not have a HDMI VRR display. I cannot check.

HDMI committee made connectors more of a pain than needed. HDMI 2.1 specs are closed. AMD cannot commit and code that may end up revealing the spec....
