Or you could try to just use a USB stick..
Doesn't KDE Connect have a limit on how big a file may be in order to transfer it?
Also, USB-C drives cost money, which some people may be unwilling to spend; context in each person's circumstances would make USB-C more/less viable as an alternative.
Warpinator would be a better solution for many people.
Current version does, but it has been updated to remove that limit (2gb individual file limit).
