Slowly going insane over this: Chiaki-ng client window is bigger than steam deck resolution

I am not looking for advice on how to make the video stream of my ps5 fit the "screen" or be zoomed in, I am looking for a way to have the chiaki app window fit the screen I am using exactly.

The back buttons r4 and r5 do nothing because those only change the video stream to match the app window size.

Every video I see of chiaki being launched in gamemode is fitting the screen, but on my LCD model it's not fitting to the screen.

I've been searching for hours to fix the issue but I'm tough out of luck, only found a thread from 11 months ago that was left unanswered.

Does anyone know how I can fix it?

Did you try changing the resolution of the chiaki app in gamemode to 1280x720?

Since I don't have a PS I can test with, I can't promise this will work, but it may be a solution:
If this is in desktop mode, go to System Settings > search for "Shortcuts" > search for "make window fullscreen", and assign a shortcut. I recommend WIN+ALT+ENTER, but whatever works for you. Maybe ALT+F11. Launch the application and try out the shortcut.
