The reason i am getting more and more frustrated with the Steam Deck.

It feels already outdated.

Not a single recently released AAA Titel working with steady FPS. Baldurs Gate 3, Jagged Alliance 3, .... Cant even play old verified Games Like Civ 6 or Phoenix Point with steady Fps. I dont mind 30 or 40 FPS but those dips and lags are killing me from playing any game on deck and regret buying this crap. Games constantly dipping down to 15-20fps are not fun to play!

Also the verified tag feels like a joke These days. Baldurs Gate 3, Remnant 2, a lot of games that never should have gotten verified status. Thats basically wrong Advertisement and luring players into buying Games, that are not ment to be played on steam deck.

I am gonna sell or destroy this piece of Junk now. Every low budget gaming laptop has more Power. Thats the last time i bought some Hardware from valve.

Edit : I think the Deck is meant for playing retro games or those that are not that demanding anywhere you want. You can't really carry the power of a desktop in your pocket, it would be crazy. Even ROG Ally has issues which is considered slightly superior to the Deck.

Not true. I Just bought a gaming Laptop with a RTX 3070ti for 1050 Euros AS a replacement for my deck. I can play Baldurs Gate 3 at Ultra settings 70-90 FPS. Thats just 350 euros more than the top Tier Steam deck

Dude, no matter how much we try. The OP cannot read a spec sheet and make a rational decision. He called switch games well run which is funny.... Many switch games run 30 fps or less.

By the way, I have been switching between my laptop and my Steam Deck for BG3 and I noticed that my laptop spikes from over 100 FPS to 1 FPS while playing. Usually it is hitting a stead 40 something. And I have a very nice gaming laptop.

But I don't really care about FPS so it doesn't really matter to me.

I personally consider BG3 totally unplayable even in the tutorial area on the Steam Deck right now, but I would hold off on removing the verified tag until after the upcoming patch. The tag is already there, and if the patch actually does make it playable on the deck, then the process of re-verification would be wasted time.

That said, if it's still not possible to get consistent 30FPS on low settings even in Act 3 after the patch, then yeah. Take the tag away.

Yes you did exactly the Same Thing every other fool running around shouting "working perfectly" is doing. They just reviewed the tutorial and beginning of act 1. You can clearly See in the footage thats basically the First 30 min of the Game.

Jesus Stop your ignorance and do your Homework. Go Check how BG3 is running in act 3 on Deck. Show me footage of 30fps gameplay on Deck in act 3 and i will never write again Here. Even with fsr2 Mod, you cant get 20 FPS on lowest in act 3! Thats not playable.
