Steam Deck

Epic Games on a Steam Deck?
I have a steam deck and I play Watch Dogs 2 on my pc once in a while and I’ve been wanting to play it on my steam deck since I got it but I don’t have the game on steam since I bought the game on epic games before I made my steam account. Is there a way to get my epic games library on my steam deck using third party apps or will I have to rebuy the game.

I tried using heroic launcher and tried downloading watch dogs 2 on a sd card but after 5 seconds of the installation it just gives me an error.

If I rebuy the game on steam is there a way to transfer my save game to steam?

As for transferring saves, the game doesn't use Steam cloud, if anything, it uses Uplay for cloud saves and that'll be the same whether you get it from the EGS or Steam. Meaning there's nothing to transfer.

Thank you for clarifying about the game saves, it’s great to know that my save data will still be there if I decide to rebuy the game on steam.

I’ll definitely take a look at Lutris and if that doesn’t go well I’ll probably end up rebuying the game on steam when it’s on sale.

There's also another launcher getting released the name of which I forgot, I suggest consulting GamingOnLinux on that one, or Phoronix.

If you don't need a bunch of options, Heroic works out of the box with the Epic Store:

https://heroicgameslauncher.com/

It's plug 'n play. If you want to tinker, Lutris is better for tinkering.

Heroic launcher is what I was having problems with and I tried troubleshooting it but nothing worked, I tried lutris and it fixed the problem of watch dogs not being able to properly download
