Signing in to Google with in-game browser
Has anybody been able to sign into their Google account with the browser built into steam?
It keeps telling me it's not secure I don't know if there's a work around or if anybody knows of one
I honestly want it just so I can turn on dark mode again for YouTube.

This has been going on for years. Literally.
However, there's nothing preventing you from installing a browser. I found it the easiest to "shell out" to desktop, install a browser, add it as a non-Steam "game" and viola, a full browsing experience.

Well, I also had to change the input scheme. There's a browser-specific one which didn't get selected by default.

I have heard that launching the game in desktop mode and logging into the in game browser there the first time often bypasses the issue, the game should then run ok in game mode.

I have chrome installed already. Works just fine, problem is you can't set it as the default browser and some games and steam itself will open the built in browser. For example reading patch notes and clicking the link in game. Or more specifically path of exile has preview videos for there mtx which opens a youtube video using the built in browser.

As ReBoot mentioned, it's not a Steam Deck problem. The Steam client has behaved this way for years.
