Star Citizen Oct 2022 Install

Hello SteamDeck peeps has anyone been able to install Star citizen recently on the steam deck.

I have tried various times now and not able to install it without a crash.

I have installed launcher fine when I sign into the launcher and install it downloads the first file but as it gets to 0mb left on the base download itllthe launcher closes. Even if I re open it up and click verify files it crashes again.

Tried with all various types of proton and also tried with litrus and have the same problem. This is installing it onto SD card not internal.

Any way around it would appreciate the support o7

I can only assume that there wont be any possible way to run it properly on the steam deck. The game is super intensive and requires some hefty hardware. I'd be surprised if it ever works on the deck even when (or if) it ever fully comes out.

The game runs like garbo on even the latest and greatest PCs, I can't imagine even trying to run it on steam deck.

It does run on the steam deck there are videos out there showing it. I suppose the best way is to wait until the release the Linux launcher for installing. I am happy to wait I have it on my main rig anyway. 🥰
