Getting well cheesed off as it seems there's quite a few TV's that the deck is having issues with.
Lo and behold the deck launches into life and I have at least a working deck and dock.
I don't like using the HDMI on the soundbar as it's fiddly to use and not the greatest of pictures through the passthrough.
Hopefully Valve gets a firmware pushed out for all the TV's that people have said don't work with the dock.
My PS 4 and 5, sky box, virgin box, blue ray player etc are all working with the TV so any incompatibility issues must be at the decks end.
Any way got a working solution for me but not everyone has a device with HDMI passthrough to try.
They did offer a refund mind so they are at least not being as bad as MS was back in the Xbox 360 debacle.
I suspect they know that the firmware got mucked up and now they need to work out a solution fast.
Still enjoying my Deck mind.
Connect the switched-on Steam Deck to the docking station. Then disconnect the power cable from the docking station. Then the Steam Deck itself tries to connect to the TV. When the picture is there, just plug the power cable back in.
It worked for me. Even after turning it off and on again, the docking station recognizes the TV correctly.
Valve, I’m trying to embrace Linux, make me want to use it!
