power button issue
my power button doesnt seem to work 100% of the time and holding it down for the power menu sometimes needs to be repeated multiple times before the menu pops up.
im guessing this is probably a hardware issue more than a software issue as ive tried resetting to factory and reinstalled the updates with no luck.

the unit is only 3 days old and was working fine up until earlier when i tried to use it and had to press the power button about 20 times before it booted up. it seems to have gotten better but its still unreliable.

no difference in behaviour while charging?

i got an odd message about not enough power and battery drain may happen while in use but it charges otherwise

I had this issue, as well. On mine, it seemed like the power button was misaligned as it became mushy the more I pressed it.

Any fixes for this? For some reason I cns hard reset by holding the power button but the power menu never shows up.

I had to RMA that deck and the new one has been flawless

I'd like to say it's software for me! Haha. I haven't been on my deck in a couple weeks, had mine since q2! But tonight, yeah. Holding the power button does a hard shut down, but the menu doesn't pop up. So I'm guessing it's just a bug! Because my power button isn't mushy, it still clicks like day one. And it works to put my deck to sleep! Hopefully we get an update soon!!

Because me and others are having issues to where it's not lol. I'm assuming it's a bug. Power button works flawlessly otherwise!

If it was a widespread issue, there would be a couple (dozens hundreds) threads more on that topic.

If it was a widespread issue, there would be a couple (dozens hundreds) threads more on that topic.
That's also considering all hundred(s) of those people use the power button to switch to desktop or shutdown rather than the steam button 🤔

I have this Bug too but I use the Beta.

I have to spam the power button repeatably over and over again, to even get mine to turn on.

What a joke of a device.

I have to undock it pretty much every time too, as otherwise you cannot even tell if it has started to turn on.

I regret buying mine now.
It is total rubbish.

I think I am going to sell mine on.
Valve cannot do anything right.

As simple power button is too much for them.
