Itch.io bundle games won't launch - help?

Hi - just got my Steam Deck and I'm trying to add two games I got through Itch's Bundle for Ukraine to Steam so I can play them in gaming mode, but I'm not having any luck. The games are Sagebrush and The White Door. Both work fine through Steam on my laptop.

I installed the Itch launcher on the Deck's desktop mode, but when trying to download/install from there, the 'Install' path would never populate and nothing would happen. I was able to download both from Itch's browser site, but neither game will launch in the Itch client. I've then used 'add non-steam game' and the game titles appear in my library, but when I click launch nothing happens. I've seen suggestions that I need to renavigate to the file location, but when I go to Properties for each game, the file path looks correct and when I use 'browse' and reselect it, nothing changes.

Becoming increasingly frustrated at this, but I've never used Linux and suspect I'm just missing something. Ultimately the two games combined would cost like £7 through Steam, but I'll be really disappointed if all these games I own on other launchers don't work - it was one of the major selling points of the Deck for me.

Any help would be really appreciated.

*EDIT* - The Deck has just given me the option to stream each game for my laptop, and that seems to allow them to launch but none of the Deck's controls worked... and anyway, the whole point is to have these running locally so I can take them with me.

You need to download the .exe file for Windows onto the Deck. You can do this through the website because the app will only let you do the Linux version.

You can then add the .exe to Steam and launch it from Game Mode. I did this for one of the games in the bundle.
