Something you can try is a Decky Plugin called Storage Cleaner:
https://github.com/mcarlucci/decky-storage-cleaner
PROBLEM: game “prefix”, cache, shader files (these should be removed automatically by uninstalling their specific Steam game, but sometimes aren’t) - these are automatically stored on your main data disk; proton files left behind by steam; failed non-working downloaded/installed apps left behind
SOLUTION: You will have to manually remove these unnecessary files by scanning your file directories by an app, moving them to Trash, and then emptying trash.

Another possible way of handling this is to manually move “other” files into your installed memory, which could have plenty of space. You can achieve that using this tool: https://github.com/CryoByte33/steam-deck-utilities
(try to find a guide)
I was moving a large game from internal to SD when the deck crashed. Now like 95% of the game is in 'Other' Which causes the SD card to be full so I can't continue copying the game over because when I try, it errors saying there is no room.
