Given the amount of details provided ("????"), I would guess that you want to launch them without Steam, and so then here's one way (assuming that those are non-Windows games):

$ file /path/to/inside/of/game/folder/game-executable ELF 64-bit LSB executable $ /path/to/inside/of/game/folder/game-executable

But (having consulted with my friends telepaths) I would probably suggest you to add those to Steam and launch them from there.

Some of my friends telepaths also said that you most likely meant Windows games, but I told them to shut up, as for sure you would have specified that.

steam is the problem and i want to launch them without it
i cant find a single thing from this list
$ file /path/to/inside/of/game/folder/game-executable
ELF 64-bit LSB executable
$ /path/to/inside/of/game/folder/game-executable
i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate steam decks UI
i was going from compact data and trying to launch it there with no luck
also trying to launch from browsing installed files like you would in windows from a steam game and nothing there for launching the game
ive only used my steam deck for steam so ive installed almost nothing and its riddled with problems to the point where it sucks ass.....
i cant even figure out the most basic ♥♥♥♥ because every online guide is over 3 months old and no longer works on the new update
every path i take always ends with comments from users saying new steam deck update broke it.
trying to install lutris to fix it and the top comment
stopped working properly after recent updates. comment made in December when steam updated and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my stuff up.
spent sooo many hours on this.... i hate it with a passion and have learned nothing.... just wasted my time i could be playing games
Maybe I'm misunderstanding something but... Have you tried just right clicking a game in your library and clicking explore local files? That would take you right to the game directory and then logically one directory back would be the rest of your games.

And I think discover has apps that you can set up games to use wine-ge and stuff. Pretty sure I used one before called bottles or bottle something to play some older games in desktop as an experiment.

You should've mentioned that in your original post then, to make it clear. And you still haven't explicitly specified whether this is about native GNU/Linux games or Windows games. But I see you mention Windows in your comments, so I will assume that you need this for Windows games.

In that case I'd recommend you to read/watch about Proton, as that is what makes it possible to play Windows games on a GNU/Linux OS such as SteamOS. For instance, here's a good video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pfsb4M7swbE

And so then if you want to launch Windows games without Steam, you would need to replicate what Steam does for that behind the scenes - so you'll need to launch Proton yourself and "feed" the game executable to it. In particular, here's an example of launching Diablo II Resurrected: https://decovar.dev/blog/2023/04/10/steam-deck/#how-to-run-an-application-with-proton

Well if that Windows.exe App either you goes third party Windows Proton other wise you need to launch it with Steam Windows Proton you can add old game as non Steam game and run it with Steam Proton as long as its have good compability, and put it at Z: Folder not The C: Windows one

For linux app itself its as easy as windows just download,let it instal then you are ready to go

Then last Resort is just Dual Boot Steam OS and Windows

you got video guide on this? almost every guide i can find for any form of steam deck tweaking of any kind the comments now say it doesnt work since the December update

My dude you buy Steam Deck cheap (or Supposed be) because Steam OS the last Resort its to ditch it and Instal Windows

I suggest you to re install or Reinstall the game at yours designed place rather than Default Configuration i install all my games at Linux gaming folders that i made myself

if its Native app its usually easy to tinker or other wise just Re install it

Its windows app that just pain at the ass to install and Configure it especially the old one

Last one its even you instal it from Steam Store its does not meant its Native Steam OS app, its Windows app with Proton that sometimes just pain in the ass to tinker with

You can try using Lutris. As mentioned earlier, you have to have some type of launcher or a list of command line arguments to replicate what Steam is doing. Here's a post talking about launching a Steam game from Lutris instead of Steam:

Do you have links to the Lutris issue? I have not seen or heard of people not being able to use Lutris. Now, it might not work for what you are trying to do, but I've not hear Lutris no longer working. A lot of people depend on it for non-Steam games.
