Changed me by a lot in a good way. Received true friends and I have over 80+ games. I play strategy, sports, etc.... genre of games.

This is not Steam Deck specific, but "portable" specific.

I've played a lot more "indie" games. A lot of indie games are not system hogs... i.e. you don't need a giant desktop for them to run. They are perfect for short bursts of playing via a handheld. Some examples:

* Balatro (of course)
* BlazBlue Entropy Effect
* Flying Tank
* The Mobius Machine
* Rack & Slay
* Galactic Glitch

to name a few...
I learned to use controller for shooter games with the SD (Friends vs Friends, Titanfall 2, Wolfenstein II, Combat Master).
I don't get into RPG and or strategy with too many tiny texts on the SD.
But Tactical RPG like Miasma Chronicles: great.

Mostly the Tomb Raider remaster CURRENTLY. Before that, Cat Quest. Before that, Cosmic Shake. The SW Bounty Hunter in between. Next game might be The Expanse or Dungeons of Hinterberg, we'll see.

bunch nsfw game
I played a variety of games nonstop in 2024, Bandle Tale being one of my absolute faves on SD! Was awesome to bum around with the SD anywhere in the house or during long car rides! I even got to use my PC along with it so I didn’t feel like I abandoned my PC.

I actually felt burnt out at the end of 2024 because I finished quite a bit off my backlog that I even skipped the autumn and winter sale for once…

We Steam community should vouch you to be a part of Valve's team. I'd like to see that happen.

had so many problems with hifi rush on steam deck
The Steam Deck is pretty much the only way I play any Steam games these days. :GamepadWow: I even play my own Game Maker and MUGEN :Chun_Li: games, as well as games made by other passionate gamers who create games all by themselves.

Recently, I've been playing a freemium(?) platform fighter called Flash Party, with its fun character designs and all sorts of different currency types. I haven't played it long enough not to get matched with bots all the time.
