More specifically, probably either when Valve's costs come down to a point where it's worth it to them, or when demand drops to where a price drop might help boost demand, or when the Steam Deck 2 comes out and they clearance the old stock.

The LCD prices, aside from a few sales (notably being the 1 year anniversary), stay the same until the OLED was introduced. It's probably unlikely to see a price change until either they have so much stock that even small sales don't help, they have a new product shipping, or they decide to get out of the handheld business.

I don't think Valve will get out of handheld business but I do speculate the oled might go on sale when Steam Deck's b-day arrive. But it's highly probable they won't. Good explanation btw.
