Help with Microsoft Edge

I have been trying to add Microsoft Edge to my Steam Deck in Desktop Mode so I can utilise playing xbox gamepass games. However, I am just hitting a brick wall despite trying to follow online guides.

Unfortunately I am not very computer savvy but I have tried to follow the guides online step by step which have instructed me to install Microsoft Edge which I have done, I should then right click on Edge and add to Steam, which I have done and then I should be able locate it in Steam tick the box next to it and choose 'Add selected programs'.

However this is the step where I am having problems because even though I have installed Edge and right clicked on it to add to Steam, it does not seem to appear when I then go into Steam so I don't get the option to add the selected program? I have tried locate it via the 'Games' tab again with no luck. What am I doing wrong and could someone help with how I can get xbox gamepass added? Thanks in advance.

Have you looked for "Microsoft Edge" in the list of installed programs?

You are about as useless as can be. No hate but that is THE most obvious and THE most frustrating you could say to someone who literally did this and nothing shows up in the list of installed programs. Truthfully if you don't have anything useful to say don't say anything.

Hi mate, I found edge to be a pain too, plus the quality wasn’t very good when streaming , I use XBPLAY now it’s on the discovery store and steam store now I believe, it’s 100x better, if you get it directly through steam you’ll have no messing adding it to your library. It has remote play and gamepass which you can also add game shortcuts to your library too which is cool. It’s got upscalers too so the image is fantastic. I’ve played 50+ hours of cyberpunk on my deck remote play and it felt native. Worth a look bud.
