Restoring Sheen to Foggy Control Sticks

I used rubbing alcohol to clean my control sticks. I see now this was a mistake. The alcohol appears to have stripped some of the gloss/paint from one of the thumbsticks and left behind a faint, foggy residue. Not the end of the world, but I'd like to restore the stick, if possible. Does anyone know of a product that could safely restore the stick's gloss? I tried applying a small amount of Vaseline to the affected stick, and the improvement was negligible.

Alcohol also destroys the screen really fast, so if you just got some stick discolouration then id say you got off lightly. Also its unlikely you can fix how the stick looks now. People need to stop putting rubbing alcohol on everything.
