12 GB of storage taken by "OTHER"

I have never needed to perform a reset since I purchased my Deck in Summer 2022.

why you dont install first a program to help you spot which files are consuming more space?

that could help you manage better what you install, download and where you place everything (if you like to test different linux apps, maybe you could get an usb and run appimages from there, so they dont take internal disk space). you could try "QDirStat" (it should be in the app "store")

Could be partially explained by coredumps. It takes coredumps all the time, especially if you play with games that use the EA app (could also be other apps). I am also pretty sure that it does it most of the time if you close a game using the overlay.

those could be lots of things like error dump files. desktop apps or updates. the steam deck is basically a pc.. it stores a lot of information about what you do on it. windows will do the same thing. it stores cache files for the shaders for games too. so i could be any number of possible things.
