UK Delivery - GLS/Parcelforce

Good Morning,

Anyone had issues with delivery to the UK for the steamdeck? I know it’s been Xmas & NY, just curious to the tracking info.

Parcelforce produced tracking info from GLS on 30th, no update since. GLS tracking hasn’t updated since the 30th either when it was shipped from Netherlands.

Not bothered about when it turns up, just wondering if its common for no updated tracking info with GLS/Parcelforce and then it randomly appears at my door whilst i’m not home?

Yeah, this is gonna take a few days extra, you should have known when ordering around Xmas & NY.

Usually most companies only "really" start up again 06/2025, and the workforce that they do have available is basically a skeleton crew

I don't think it made it to the 'last parcel centre' for me, it just got transferred over to parcel force and I had a different email and tracking number.

didn't take that long, 4 days maybe, I ordered on the 26th and got it on the 31st. (I dunno if it moved much that Sunday) but like above they would have had barely anyone working new year eve and day.

Cheers for the responses. 100% knew it would take longer with it being the holidays, just wanted to know if anyones had issues with the tracker not updating from either GLS or ParcelForce as the deliveries in my area are shocking.

The drivers either play knock door run, run being running away with the parcel, or they’ll leave it on my doorstep in view of the street.

I think they will want you to sign for it because it's an expensive item, anything over like £100 the driver is probably not going to leave it on your doorstep, but if you have a porch they might leave it inside there. Or they'll just drop it at the post office if they don't get an answer.
You will get another email from parcel force that has driver tracking.

i've also been waiting for mine for a little while. ordered it on the 27th and it's been in the netherlands, supposedly, for the last 4 days (30th to now), hoping it turns up soon. i knew there'd be delays but no update is concerning.

Just thought I'd say I'm in the same boat. Ordered mine on the 27th. Says it's in transit from Holland since the 30th with no update. Been checking everyday. Nice to see I'm not the only one. Hopefully we'll have are decks soon.

Mine was ordered on the 27th too & only updated on the 30th. From what I’ve read online GLS don’t delivery on weekends so fingers crossed Parcelforce get their hands on ours on Monday for delivery Tuesday.

Hi Nanaki, I did indeed.

Delivery took 10 days from order, but didn't get any updates from GLS or PF until the day before delivery. All in all not bad saying it came from Netherlands and it was over New Years when they likely had a shut down.

To note:

GLS practically do not work on weekends. From their website support page:

Deliveries are made Monday through Friday. (Saturday Delivery by request).
Pickup service is not available on Saturday.
GLS does not provide pickup or delivery service on Sunday.

Taking into account New Years Day and the weekend before it, thats 7 days delivery time, just wish Valve or GLS atleast made it easily available knowledge that they do not deliver on weekends on confirmation email or tracking email, and that GLS had a more thorough tracking history so you can manage expectations on delivery window.

Loving it so far, playing through Cyberpunk at 30-55fps on battery power 1280x800, HDR on, mostly medium settings and getting 4ish hours of playtime.

I ordered mine at 12am on (Monday 6th Jan) and it got to me tonight(Thursday 9th Jan) about 3 and a half hours ago

I was really expecting the weekend as the least, I don't even get import Blu-rays to the UK less than 7-9 days
