Team Fortress 2 Missing textures. PLEASE HELP ME
So, I've had my deck for give or take a year+ and have been using it as a main PC. Through that time I've played tf2 and haven't run into any issues with this in the past but over the past week-2 weeks there have been missing textures over 3 different maps so far.

This is what I see:

on trade plaza

This is what I see:

on ggu map

and this is what I see (get ready, missing texture brightness warning)

On trade Minecraft

And these are the warnings I get in the console:

Things to note:

1) I never ♥♥♥♥ around with custom things on tf, this includes adding my own stuff, removing stuff, UI stuff to make the game look different or menus look different.

2) Yes I turned it off and on multiple times, does not fix.

3) I uninstalled and reinstalled tf2 multiple times, does not fix

4) I HARD RESET my steam deck to factory new, did not fix once redownloaded.

5) after ALL the rest of these I decided to go into the files and delete the map files to redownload them for the same thing to happen, no worse no better.

For what I've seen its only on those 3 maps and I'm unsure how or why those 3 are affected, while 2 of them are trade Minecraft maps, one has a completely custom texture (the huge missing texture box you see on the wall on the GGU one) and should have no correspondence to the other.

PLEASE help me out here, I've been struggling and asking everyone what to do, I am open to hopping into a discord call to fix this and to stream, because I am not the best with the deck, this conversation isn't about why I decided to swap from windows only to linux on the deck raw, its strictly about the maps, if yall could help I WOULD LOVE U FOREVER.

im having the same issue. I think its an issue only on linux
It's a regression in the Linux build, seems like the game is now reading files case-sensitively when that was never the case before.
I don't have a Steam Deck, but I do run Linux and have been having these issues, especially when playing Slender Fortress. I REALLY hope this is fixed soon as it has become a HUGE issue on custom gamemode servers.

It is a massive pain in the ass and it's an absolute joke that the build still has this bug. For all Valve's attention on Linux and their help making Windows games compatible with Proton, how on earth did they let this slip through?

In the meantime, this works as a temporary fix while the bug still affects the game

Yeah i've talked to actwin and this is sadly the only fix until tf makes it so linux can read files with uppercase letters bruh
