Any news about Steamdeck 2
I was reading somethings, stating Steamdeck 2 would move away from the touch pad joysticks. I don't like the idea, though also don't want to believe it.

What can we expect from the new version? I was hoping for something more bulky like the old Game Gear was. Loved that thing. Now a days, every company releases this as thin as we can design. I have large hands and it doesn't work as well for me. I suppose I should say, i've been saving all the 2D and 2.5D games I have for a handheld. Tempted to get the current model. Though rumors say next year there's a new one coming out. And I am the type of user, that wants the most powerful version.

I'm curious about what you've been reading, if you'd be so kind to share a link.

There haven't been any official news about a steam deck 2. There have, however, been leaks about a new steam machine and steam controller (featuring 2 trackpads).

You were reading somethings?

What was that somethings? Who wrote it? Why do you believe that somethings holds any weight whatsoever?

The only thing anyone who doesn't work at Valve knows about the next Steam Deck is that they're working on it. Any details, including hardware, specs, and a potential release window are just baseless speculation.

I've been reading the earth is flat and vaccines cause autism.

Be VERY careful on what you read online. Hell, you've used the term "rumors" yourself! So you know those are rumors so why do you let them affect your decisions? Stick to confirmed non-rumors, to stuff you can actually trace to some reliable source and you'll have more happiness in life overall.

PS: just few years ago, the Switch Pro was all but confirmed. And yet, there's none. Rumors are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ by dumb people for dumb people!

It's all rumor and speculation at this point. I doubt there will be a major shift in the design of the next deck, Valve love their touch pads, so I doubt they will go away, although moving the buttons or sticks a millimeter or two from where they are currently is not out of the question.
