When playing red alert 2 and yuri's revenge how can I select all the objects of a category?

on the PC if I select one tank and then I think it is if I press A it will select all the tanks of that category that I own. How do I do this on the steam deck?

Just check out the community layouts for the game under controller settings and then tweak one you like.

You could map "A" to one of your backbuttons.
