Steam Deck Motherboard
Question, does anyone know if it is possible to buy the motherboard of a Steam Deck LED?
I was decompressing a file in desktop mode (“fear the old blood” for those in the know) and it froze. At the moment of reboot it kind of got lost and turned off several times per second until it didn't turn on anymore.
It is out of warranty and I sent it to a technician to see what happened, they tell me that a capacitor near the load module burst and took several tracks and other components along the way.
They think they can fix it, but if that is not the case I would like to buy a replacement for the motherboard, besides even if they fix it, it would not be unusual for the problem to happen again.
Can anyone help me?
I'm from Chile and here I really can't find any way to get spare parts.

buy a used / broken steam deck from a 3rd party.

It seems that right now it makes more fiscal sense to use (and reuse) every mobo for actual units rather than source them to techs / ifixit.

It is a whole thing, you can read about it here on the forums or on reddit / internet

Valve doesn't have boards (mother or daughter boards) available for purchase. You'll likely have to find a use/broken Deck on eBay or similar place to get one for spare parts.
