Breeze dark is the default theme, but it doesn't change the app launcher icon for you. You'll have to do that yourself. Right-click on the icon, and select "configure application launcher...". There You'll be able to change the icon to something else.

You open the themes review and pick the right theme. I don't remember which one it was form the top of my head, but it does stick out.

I think breeze dark is the default theme

Just checked. the default theme is breeze dark.

Go to Setting -> Appearance -> Global Theme -> Breeze Dark.
keep "Desktop and window layout" untick and press apply

There is also a button 'Defaults' which should revert everything back in the section of the Settings window you are in.

There isn't really a "Steam" theme. As the others are suggesting, it's a default Theme with Valve just replacing some icons and backgrounds with their image.

If everything else fails, factory-reset it is.

On a side note; I think it could be very beneficial for OP (and everyone else with a deck) to learn a bit about arch linux and kde plasma to get a better understanding on how to use the desktop mode. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Actually, no. Not necessarily. KDE ain't that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a graphical shell that you genuinely need to learn it to use it. It's actually a dang good graphical shell and using it doesn't require learning.

Did some checks on my Steam Deck and OP is right. The correct global theme is called Vapor which is an adaptation of Breeze Dark made by Valve. If you set this theme then everything should be OK.

If you have to set the icon via configure the icon then select All from the drop down list and search for distributor-logo-steamdeck.
