Buying a used Steam Deck via eBay - Warranty Problems?

Good morning,

I'm planning to buy a Steam Deck via eBay Classifieds and I've now read somewhere once that the warranty is only granted for the account that first set up the Steam Deck.
In my case, that would be of course the seller.
Am I right with my assumption that if I had a support case, I get no support myself but would have to regulate everything through the seller?

Für über das Internet erworbene Hardware gilt grundsätzlich die Annahme, dass die Hardware in dem Land erworben wurde, in dem der ursprüngliche Käufer („Käufer“) beim Kauf der Hardware wohnhaft war. Diese Garantie ist auf natürliche Personen übertragbar, die die Hardware als Geschenk vom Käufer erhalten; eine Übertragung gemäß diesem Satz führt nicht zu einer Erweiterung dieser Garantie. Der Käufer bleibt an seine Verpflichtungen aus dieser Garantie gebunden, einschließlich Streitbeilegung/verbindlicher Schiedsvereinbarung/Verzicht auf Sammelklagen.

The part reads exactly as I wrote it at the beginning. The original buyer must still be involved in all warranty claims.

If no one has had experience with this, then I will rather spend the 50€ more and order the deck directly from Steam :D
