Docking station or hub?
Which one do you think will work best for travelling?
I am struggling to find a hub that supports 4k60hz and has 2 x usb C.
Dock may not fit with dbrand cover, or will it?

I went with a cheap $8 hub and it works fine for me.
though i think it only does 4k@30 on the hdmi (1080p@60 is all i care about, and most games would really struggle with 4k@60 so the main real use-case for it is video. and has 3 usb 3.0 ports.

and a type C (specifically for power passthrough)

Hello! Dock type-c port is used only for charging and it doesn't support data-transfer :( In this video I saw some problems with cover + dock connector. https://youtu.be/e2d57mPVV6w?t=114

Ah. That answers my question then.

As for 4k60hz, I will probably never use it on deck, but I want the option in case I never use this hub for anything else. Who knows what the future brings!

Ordered Anker 8in1.
