warranty, does EU apply for UK?
hello, I was looking into warranties and I was reading the information booklet that came with it. on the warranty section, it read "if you are a consumer who lives in an EU member country, the UK... other places... the limited warranty and agreement does not apply to you" but the UK isn't a member of the EU anymore and I am confused, so can anybody help me out and tell me if the warranty applies to the UK or not and if there's an alternative like sending it to the Valve repair centre and paying the fee? I am really confused and if anything happens to my Deck like buttons not working or shell damaged then I want to get someone else to do it since I'm not good at repairs.

When you read further...

INSTEAD, YOU ARE ENTITLED TO THE STATUTORY WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES PROVIDED BY YOUR HOME JURISDICTION.

I'm stupid, can you explain what that means in a more simpler way? sorry, I just don't know what "you are entitled to the statutory warranties" means.

The UK has their own policies on hardware warranties which are used instead of Valve's own policy. So, look up the local warranty laws for products in the UK.

I've searched up the laws, in the UK it says you have legal rights for up to 6 years if there's a fault and in Europe it says 2. so instead of the 1 year warranty offered by Valve, I get a 2-6 year warranty offered by the state?

The UK may not be apart of the EU any more but we still use a lot of the samey laws
