Remote Play and Mac

I love my steam deck and have gotten it to remote play to my iphone but have NOT been able to get it to work with my Macbook Pro. Please advise!

Why bother streaming to your PC instead of playing on the Deck directly?

My main question is, what version of macOS are you using? As if you have macOS Catalina version 10.15 or newer, your game may not run. Apart of the 10.15 update is the removal or 32 bit support, I know some of the games on steam ARE 64bit. but not alot concerting not all of them are 64bit plus mac supported. Not that familiar with mac. but I believe it is possible to trick the system to revert to version 10.14 but would not recommend as your macbook may not work, and may void your warranty

The SteamDeck seems to find my MacBook or my iPhone but I don’t know what to do to activate it on the MacBook side…

I think I’m on Catalina out for lunch so will check.

I did Hear I could buy a usb c / hdmi video recorder adaptor and connect the hdmi into a dock that is connected to steam deck and connect the hdmi in to the max usb-c and it could play on the MacBook for recording purpose.

Found it! And it works well. The only issue is it won't let me use my macbook speakers the sound come from the steam deck. Otherwise to have the 16" macbook display with the steam deck... Game On!! Excited to have a PC gaming device.

Any suggestion on how to do the sounds from the MacBook Pro. At the moment sound only comes from
The steam deck.
