Ya, i heard the san disk a2 was the way to go both for 512gb and 1tb. I went with the 512, since i have the 256gb model.

There're essentially the same except that the pro has a few more bells and whistles for added functionality. Tbh, the one you linked will be just fine so long as it's formatted correctly and has not manufacturer defects.

It should be compatible, it's a bit too good for SteamDeck. May update here how it goes then I get it; if someone gonna bump the thread after that.

Keep in mind the interface in the deck isn't that fast, it's limited to UHS-I which is around 104MB\s max so something like a SanDisk Ultra will most likely be sufficient, also 1TB ones tend to be very poor value for money, stick to 512GB.

I bought one off Amazon a few weeks ago. Waiting for my Deck to put my 1TB Micro SD in.

As far as I know, you just stick it in and away it goes? You do not need to stick it in a PC and format anything do we?

you need to format it inside of the Deck. But thats easy one Button to press and a minute to wait.

Thank you for the information. Just before my deck is setup and turned on. I’ll put the SDCard in ready to never be removed and format

steamdeck format complete bricked my 1tb sandisk that worked fine before. good stuff valve.

Crazy how no reviews mention this issue.

Unable to format to anything without an error now, tried multiple utilities. If I knew was an issue I never would have bought this POS machine.
