Steam Deck Windows 10

When come gpu driver for the Steam Deck? Many Games with anti Cheat doesn´t work in Steam OS so i install windows 10 but there are no GPU drivers and no wlan?

I am not sure anyone knows this. Hopefully, Valve will have a driver page for the Steam Deck.

Anti Cheat does work in Linux though. As long as the settings are correct by the developer to enable them.

Both Easy and BattlEye are supported with Proton. Valve updated their software to support both.

Not planning to use Windows, only as secondary in emergence. When all Windows drivers will be ready with graphical dual-booloader, I will put it into minimally sized NTFS partition (32GB recommendation) on SSD storage. And will put second separate NTFS SD card for Windows games. All other SSD storage for Linux. Windows is just nice to have ready for me, at this point. Anticheat games are nice too.

PS. Didn't received SteamDeck yet.

i think for games steam os will allways be the better choice. but i thinking about using the steamdeck as desktop replacement with external monitor and hd.

Well, it depends on what you use on desktop. Generally you can try usebottles.com (uses Wine and etc, for you) to run your Windows programs on Linux. For Office replacement, LibreOffice should be used.

The only program I find problem to run is VisualStudio, which is made by ...well... Microsoft, so not getting lots of hope soon on that take. But there is JetBrains Rider anyways.

It is relevant to note that Visual Studio Code is Linux supported. However, yes, the full Studio IDE is only supported for Windows and Mac.

To each their own. Personally though if Steam Deck continues on this route I am quite happy with the OS. I have enjoyed the Deck immensely thus far and instead of feeling a limitation due to the Arch based OS, I continually discover new things. In addition I like supporting something that has the potential to push gaming further (a version of Linux).

I'm happy too, just going to leave options prepared. 32GiB loss on 512GiB model is not much. I actually prefer Arch+KDE as best Linux combination on all desktops too. Seeing that SteamOS is based on exactly that, gives bonus karma points from me.
