How to play co-op on xbox cloud gaming/ubisoft connect

I have been playing games on my steam deck with xbox cloud gaming which always worked fine.

I wanted to play farcry 5 together with my boyfriend but i can't invite him to my game he also can't invite me. It says i'm not online but my ubisoft account and xbox account are linked. I can see that he is online and i was able to invite him to my party but not to the game.

What am i doing wrong?

Call ubisoft support or post on their forums. It may be a limitation of the cloud gaming service which is stated as being in beta not fully supporting everything perfectly.
