This is what's so confusing.
The card is fine, I can download to it full speed on PC.
The steam deck is fine I can write to the card from internal storage at full speed.
It's just if I download to it directly as a default location is throttled. I wondered if it were a compatibility issue with A2 cards or larger storage sizes, that's why I posted. But if yours is okay i dunno then.
Seems like it's not an isolated case from other people's posts.
All settings are fine too, no limits in place, dev mode wifi power management off.
Just to confirm, network and wifi is fine, steam deck is fine downloading to internal.
Downloading to SD card is fine when used in laptop or PC.
Transfer speeds to and from Steam deck internal storage are full speed too.
Hopefully a cause and solution will be identified and patched soon as it's definitely not a HW issue. 🤞
Love the way you obviously didn't even read the OP where I clearly stated:
"as a workaround I can just download to internal storage and then move to the SD card at full speed."
Anyway, it's a known issue fairly well documented, if anyone's here for a link, there's a decent article here...
Fixed it for me.

FWIW, that article came from the link I provided originally.
