turning the shader cache folder into a symlink to somewhere in the SD card migh work, as long as you don't eject it

There's another place taking up tons of space that nobody seems to be mentioning as well, whenever you install a game, or even try and fail, a proton environment is created for each game (unless a linux native version is used), some take up hundreds of mbs each, and might stay there even after the game is removed.

Actual steam games use the number id for the folder name, but non-steam games are random and much longer than steam ids.

I actually commented each one as it was made so I could remove them safely later on (Note some games will keep their saves in this section!)

Here's the folder: ".local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata"

In my case 10 installed games used up 3.5gb just for the compatibility layer files.

i have use Disk Usage Analyzer to check on my storage and found out almost all of that is being used in "compatdata" as well, the cyberpunk and forza 5 take almost 4gb of my internal storage . that is ridiculous
