Game wont uninstall

I tried to install and play Test Drive Unlimited 2. It did not work, but now I cannot uninstall it. The OS just says “Uninstalling…” with the spinning logo indefinitely. I also cannot find the game in the Desktop Mode and delete it there. I do not know what is going on.

Just delete the game files, shader cache, and compatdata. It should show as uninstalled once you do... Although, you may need to delete the correct file in steamapps too, not sure on that part.

Same for me with DayZ. The uninstall progress opens an additional window which is not visible in Gaming Mode. Doing this in Desktop Mode seemed to work at first but resulted in a different (probably game related) error.

i think maybe you can solve that if you "check file integrity", and then after that try to uninstall it again. if that doesnt help, then try to delete the right files manually as others suggested.

I have the same problem with red dead online, I deinstalled it and its shown as deinstalled but in the storage its still using 120 GB… Going in the desktop mode and trying to deinstall it there, no way! You choose it and click deinstall and for a short moment, you see the deinstall window but it closes immediately -.- So now my storage has a big trash pack of red dead online on it, although steam shows it as deinstalled…

For me, the uninstallation doesn't work for Half-Life 2 Episode 1. I get this message:

"Uninstall error - shared files missing"

I installed League of Legends via Bottle to try it out. Now I can't uninstall it...

I thinking I'm going to just delete the LoL Folder...

Same problem. Looks like - hard reset required for lot of games.
