How to shut steam deck off?

I got it, started it up, installed a couple games and played for about an hour, charged it and pushed the steam button and power off.
Well i tapped the top button and it turned on almost instantly and the battery was at like 9% how do you actually POWER OFF the unit?

Press the Steam button under the left trackpad. Navigate to the bottom of the menu and choose Power. Then, shutdown.

Or you hold the power button and volume up (+). Just figured that out 😂
