I've been running my Deck with 2 different (gaming) monitors, a portable monitor and a TV. The best monitor to get really depends on what else you want your monitor to have, the Deck will work with any.
running a game in lower resolutions can always lead to better performance, because it takes less memory. so, sometimes maybe is more convenient to use a 1080 screen, rather than one that offers higher res, unless you decreased the resolution.
less resolution means also be less expensive, so a portable 1080p monitor, could be convenient, specially if it has some extras to make the graphics look better. just an idea.
I was thinking on an OLED display like the LG ultragear, and any OLED monitor. then I will play the games at 1080p.
is it also touchscreen?
i have read many people dont find the touchscreen in the deck as responsive as those from phones, but "just good enough". for some things, maybe some games, a good touchscreen with enough area could be a good option.
I think I got a uperfect touchscreen monitor... but the steam deck's touch it's better. I didn't get the OLED yet, but this time it's definitely will be gaming oled! :) also.. I'm texting from my first linux laptop with Bazzite! happy day. Still waiting for the Official Steam OS version tho. Anyways, the brand was uperfect
