Wheelchair basketball would have to be super cheap for me to pick up.
Outside of Nintendo exclusives, I won't be buying games on the Switch 2. I'll be getting them on Steam.
Mainly it's due to their library, almost the majority(or likely all of them) that aren't exclusive to Nintendo can be played on the Deck and possibly at a cheaper price. And as for the Nintendo games themselves(with the exception of Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, and possibly others), most mentioned on the Direct are just re-releases you can play on the original despite not having better graphics the 2 will have(and having to pay money for a graphics update for BOTW and TOTK if you already own them doesn't seem worth it to me) Plus, some switch games you can play using the EmuDeck plugin on Steamdeck(here's the EmuDeck Wiki that explains a emulator that can play
Nintendo Switch games.)

I also heard on a YouTube video that the chat option requires a subscription fee(here's the video that mentions such, as well as why the Switch 2 and its games are expensive. The guys himself seems to be a Nintendo fan, as I watched a few of his videos before the announcement.)

With that said, I have a feeling the Switch 2 will end up like the Wii U, but that's just my opinion. Maybe in the future, it'll be worth getting, but as of now, no.
A lot of folks grew up on Nintendo products and there is nothing wrong with that. The Switch 2 is going to be a good device to play Nintendo games. You don't have to pick one or the other.
console gaming is dead. Windows and mac are dead. learn to use linux. take back control from the corporate overlords!
