Won't be buying Nintendo games.
Those games will be overpriced.

I love Mario Kart so I'll definitely be playing a lot of that. I'll buy Donkey Kong as well.
Wheelchair basketball would have to be super cheap for me to pick up.

Outside of Nintendo exclusives, I won't be buying games on the Switch 2. I'll be getting them on Steam.
i will not be buying a switch2 when it comes out and most likely wont be picking one up on a later time frame.
The Steam deck. The Switch 2 doesn't impress me like the original and OLED Switch did in the past.

Mainly it's due to their library, almost the majority(or likely all of them) that aren't exclusive to Nintendo can be played on the Deck and possibly at a cheaper price. And as for the Nintendo games themselves(with the exception of Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, and possibly others), most mentioned on the Direct are just re-releases you can play on the original despite not having better graphics the 2 will have(and having to pay money for a graphics update for BOTW and TOTK if you already own them doesn't seem worth it to me) Plus, some switch games you can play using the EmuDeck plugin on Steamdeck(here's the EmuDeck Wiki that explains a emulator that can play
Nintendo Switch games.)

I also heard on a YouTube video that the chat option requires a subscription fee(here's the video that mentions such, as well as why the Switch 2 and its games are expensive. The guys himself seems to be a Nintendo fan, as I watched a few of his videos before the announcement.)

With that said, I have a feeling the Switch 2 will end up like the Wii U, but that's just my opinion. Maybe in the future, it'll be worth getting, but as of now, no.
The Switch 2 has a button on its controller that costs $20 a year to use.
Won't be buying the Switch 2. I sold my day 1 Switch a couple of years back and that's the last console I will ever own.

I will be staying with my OLED deck. I don't really care for Nintendo games now days. Last console I had from them was the Gamecube. They can't really be compared as one plays PC/almost anything and one is locked to a single ecosystem so i'd imagine a lot of people will have and use both as they see fit.

BTW, I have no issues with the Switch 2. I almost bought a Switch (1) a few years back. However, my problem was that I already had a large Steam library.

A lot of folks grew up on Nintendo products and there is nothing wrong with that. The Switch 2 is going to be a good device to play Nintendo games. You don't have to pick one or the other.

I own a Switch, and I can think of several things wrong with the Switch 2.

I lost a good friend to the cult of nintendo. I wonder what narrative he's got cooked up to glorify the big N on this trainwreck of a launch.

console gaming is dead. Windows and mac are dead. learn to use linux. take back control from the corporate overlords!
You will definitely get more use out of the deck as it can be used for more than gaming

going to wait for an OLED release & a new Smash Bros release. hopefully the stars align and both those things are not too far off. as of right now though im using my Decks far more this year than the previous two years by far.
I just bought a Steam Deck. I then considered the ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go during a touch of buyers remorse. The Windows install on the Ally and Go seemed attractive but then I had already bought the Deck. I didn't consider the Switch because I don't play Nintendo games so it seemed redundant.
