Left and Right Edges of Game Screens Become Cut Off

Sometimes, with games where this normally isn't a problem, the left and right edges of the screen will get cuff off, preventing me from being able to see or interact with UI elements located there. I don't know why this happens, as the games' settings are set to Full Screen the whole time.

Has anyone else experienced this and/or know how to get back to a state where the full screen is actually visible on the Steam Deck screen?

Some of those games, try switching it away from "Fullscreen" to Windowed or Borderless Window depending on what the game supports.

what is your scaling mode set to in those games?(... menu button)
i don't remember the exact wording, but there is a fill option that scales non-16:10 games to fill the height and width of the screen and cuts the non-fitting edges off.
any of the other options will not cut anything off.
