Question about input lag
This has been asked before but I could only find questions from a year+ ago. Is there a fix for this when using wireless controllers? I've only tested docked mode so far but I'd assume undocked would have the same problem.

It's especially prevalent with emulators. It takes half a second for the system to respond to my buttons. Isn't as much an issue on the home screen as it is in-game but it is there.

I've tested an Xbox Series X controller and a PS5 controller. TV is on game mode so latency shouldn't be an issue.

Hmm, some TVs still suck at latency even when you turn on "game mode". Try playing on the Deck's screen itself with your wireless controller and see if it feels any quicker. If so, you're probably dealing with latency from the TV. Make sure you turn off any kind of post processing or upscaling stuff your TV does, which can add latency.

If it turns out not to be TV latency, another solution is to use a controller with a dedicated 2.4 Ghz wireless receiver. There's less potential for lag with those than there is with Bluetooth.

Do you have many other Bluetooth devices active near the deck? I found 3 devices hooked to the deck, or 5-6 Bluetooth in the general area cause suturing or lost Bluetooth controller inputs.

I'll give that last one a shot. Won't be a waste of money if it ends up not working as I might have other uses for it.

I have only the controllers connected to the Steam Deck.

You do realize if you can show a measurable latency issue and it's fixable by Valve. Valve will more likely fix it and reduce the latency. It would take awhile. The whole point of the Steam deck is to have a console made by gamers for gamers.

Umm... okay.

There are new innovations in this space. Valve will probably interested in implemented them in future versions.
